Do I need any editing or AI skills?+
No. You pick a background, generate a story (or paste your own), choose a voice and caption style, and hit create. ShortsMade writes, voices, captions, and renders the whole thing for you.
Is it really free to start?+
Yes. Sign up free and you get enough starter credits to create your first videos — no credit card required.
What's a credit and how many do I need?+
Credits are what a render costs. A Reddit story video is on the lower end, so your starter credits cover a few of them. You only spend credits when you actually generate a video.
Can I use these videos on TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram?+
Yes. Every video renders as a vertical 9:16 MP4, ready to download and post to TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or Instagram Reels.
Where do the backgrounds and music come from?+
Backgrounds are licensed gameplay and satisfying clips, and music is royalty-free — all safe to use on monetized channels.
Are the Reddit stories real posts?+
No. The stories are AI-generated in the style and tone of popular subreddits (like AITA, TIFU, and relationship threads). Nothing is scraped from Reddit.
What languages are supported?+
